Hear what Dr. Onyewu has to say about her experience as a UNCF/Merck Fellow!

Chiatogu Onyewu, M.D./Ph.D. was awarded a UNCF/Merck Graduate Science Dissertation Fellowship in 2004 while a graduate student at Duke University as she was engaged in her training as a physician scientist.  After receiving her M.D./ Ph.D. degree, she joined the Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. as a postdoctoral fellow and was awarded a 2008 UNCF/Merck Postdoctoral Science Research Fellowship.  She is a graduate of the University of Baltimore-Baltimore County where she was a Meyerhoff Scholar.
